Haige Machine Tools Completes a 60,000-Tonne Bright Bar Finishing Line Project in Southeast Asia, Supporting High-Value Metal Processing

YANTAI, China — October 30, 2026 — Yantai Haige Machine Tools Co., Ltd. has completed the delivery and commissioning of an EPC turnkey bright bar finishing line for a steel producer in Southeast Asia. Designed to process carbon steel bars ranging from Ø20 mm to Ø80 mm in diameter, the line has an annual design capacity of approximately 60,000 tonnes. The project specifications reference ASTM A108 and cover carbon steel grades within the AISI 1018–1045 range. The project was completed within 10 months of contract signing, including commissioning. The customer’s name has not been disclosed in this announcement.
The project was delivered as an EPC turnkey package covering engineering design, equipment manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and operator training. The automated bright bar production line integrates loading, peeling, straightening, polishing, non-destructive testing (NDT), cutting to length, and automatic bundling. It takes incoming carbon steel bars through surface preparation and material removal, geometric correction, surface finishing, inspection, and finished-product handling. Haige’s bar-to-bar production line solutions integrate these processing stages into a coordinated production line . The peeling stage removes oxide scale and surface defects within the specified machining allowance before downstream finishing; Buyers can review Haige’s bar peeling machines for details of the available equipment range. The line also incorporates straightening equipment to improve bar straightness and polishing machines to refine the surface finish. NDT supports inspection against the agreed quality requirements, while cutting to length and bundling prepare the finished bars for handling and shipment. The specific inspection method and finished-bar acceptance criteria are defined in the project’s technical specifications.
According to the project information, the finished products gained recognition in domestic and international markets following commissioning, and the customer subsequently placed an order for a second-phase project. The integrated line provides a coordinated process for surface finishing, straightness control, inspection, and cut-to-length production, rather than relying on separate, disconnected processing steps. Its annual design capacity of approximately 60,000 tonnes is intended to meet the customer’s planned production requirements for carbon steel bright bars.
The 10-month period from contract signing to commissioning serves as a reference for this particular project, not as a standard lead time for all production-line projects. Delivery schedules may vary depending on the equipment scope, site conditions, and customer requirements.
This project demonstrates Haige Machine Tools’ ability to deliver an overseas metal-finishing project under an EPC turnkey scope encompassing design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and operator training. For steel producers planning a similar bright bar finishing line, Haige can assess the material grade, bar diameter and length, incoming surface condition, annual production target, required processing steps, inspection criteria, cut lengths, and bundling requirements before recommending a suitable configuration.
Buyers can also explore Haige’s cutting equipment and learn more about the company’s engineering and project support. To discuss a new bright bar production project, contact Haige Machine Tools with details of the material, size range and production requirements.
